Anas hottentota
The Hottentot is a migratory bird in Eastern and Southern Africa, and a sedentary bird in west Africa and Madagascar. This teal is the smallest of the African ducks. It likes shallow waters, where it eats insects and crustaceans that it catches while swimming with its bill in the water. In addition, it also feeds on seeds and plants and can catch insects such as bees, and butterflies in the air.
