Little Corella

Cacatua sanguinea

The Little Corella lives in large flocks of up to thousands of birds in Australia and southern New Guinea. It feeds mainly on seeds and cereal crops, but also eats some fruits and flowers. This bird needs to drink on a daily basis, so it lives close to watercourses.

The above picture was taken at the Attica Zoological Park, in Athens, Greece, in July 2009.
