Bontebok

Damaliscus pygargus

The Bontebok is found in South Africa and Lesotho, where they feed on short grasses.

Unlike other antelopes, this species is not good at jumping. Instead, they are good at crawling under objects. They can survive without water for several days.

The picture of this gazelle was taken at the zoo of Cleveland, Ohio, in August 2003.
